Environmental Policy

“GLCC Group’s business may only be conducted when all associated environmental impacts and risks are understood and controlled to acceptable levels”

GLCC Group acknowledges that the principles of sustainable development are integral to responsible resource management and overlie all GLCC activities. In all its activities GLCC will strive to minimize impacts on the physical environment, avoid negative social impacts, and accept the community wish to protect the natural environment from material adverse effects of resource degradation.

In the pursuit of this policy GLCC Group will:

  • Comply with applicable environmental laws and regulations, and where adequate laws do not exist, adopt and apply standards that reflect GLCC’s commitment to a balanced environment
  • Establish and operate within environmental procedures that ensure the objectives of this policy are an integral part of the business activity
  • Ensure that environmental risks and impacts of planned operations are first identified, then assessed and managed to a level that is as low as possibly practicable
  • Select and engage only those contractors whose environmental policies are consistent with those of GLCC Group and whose commitment to this policy can be clearly demonstrated
  • GLCC Group will establish and evaluate achievable environmental objectives and targets to ensure continual improvement of the EMS
  • Make the GLCC Group EMS available to the public on request
  • Monitor, and communicate openly with all interested parties, fostering a culture of concerned, responsible attitudes to the impacts and effects of its operations and activities within all business units; Aviation, Fuels, Logistics, Support Services and Transport
  • Monitor, prevent or reduce where practicable waste generation in all of our activities within all business units; Aviation, Fuels, Logistics, Support Services and Transport
  • Provide appropriate training to staff and contractor’s, including way’s to address public

To achieve the goals of this policy, GLCC Group will:

  • Establish and ensure that environmental management systems, which are designed to protect the environment, are not only followed, but promote environmentally sound working practices consistent with the environmental risks and hazards identified, and efficient operating conditions.

 

GLCC Group is committed to ensuring that all environmental requirements that are specified by the client are adhered to. All employees and contractors of GLCC Group are responsible for the implementation of the intent of this Policy in association with their specific duties.

This policy is periodically reviewed for suitability and relevance to ensure it is compliant with ISO 14001.
