At GLCC Group our commitment is to provide the highest possible standards in Health and Safety to all members of our staff, contractors, visitors as well as the broader community (wherever we have a control or influence).
The philosophy of GLCC Group is one of continual improvement by establishing measurable goals and objectives and consistently reviewing / revising our processes to be at “best practice” in HSE performance with the aim to eliminate and prevent incidents / injuries within the workplace. This is to be achieved by enhancing the skills, knowledge and commitment of its workforce, which embraces all Staff Members, Contractors, Visitors and Suppliers.
As defined in our scope of operations, we are committed to mitigating accidents, incidents, injuries and ill-health for all operations; Aviation, Fuel, Logistics, Support Services and Transport.
To attain this objective our aims are to:
- Comply with Legislation, Standards and Codes of Practice and Client Requirements; in all GLCC sites and facilities where we conduct operations across the globe
- To consult and communicate with employees regarding Health and Safety issues
- Implement risk management processes that identifies, evaluates and controls risks with the specific aim of risk prevention, elimination or reduction
- Provide each GLCC employee with appropriate training, equipment and support to consistently perform their duties in a competent and safe manner
- Maintain safe and healthy working conditions, provide and maintain plant, equipment and machinery, and ensure safe storage/use of substances to the best possible level
- Ensure that all Line Managers understand and dutifully undertake their duty of care / due diligence responsibilities to all relevant staff, contractors, visitors and all members of the public; Hold accountable those who deviate from those standards
- Be acknowledged as a good corporate citizen concerned for the safety and well-being of our staff, all contractors and visitors and the public
- Encouraging employees to participate in the continual improvement of safety performance by acting responsibly in both the prevention of injury to themselves or others, and in preventing loss or damage to equipment and
As Managing Director for GLCC Group, I am personally committed to the improvement of safe working practices within the Business and it is essential that all employees, contractors, visitors and suppliers associated with
our operations recognise, contribute and abide with GLCC’s commitment to the prevention of all accidents / occupational ill-health within the workplace.
This Policy is periodically reviewed to ensure it is compliant with OHSAS 18001:2007.
